On the eastern edge of Waikiki, down by Diamond Head, our modest zoo is divided into three sections: African Savannah, Asian and American Tropical Forests, and Pacific Islands. Over 900 animals can be seen daily, including elephants, komodo dragons, orangutans, birds and reptiles.
- It all started in 1914 with a monkey, a bear and an African elephant.
- Kids love the petting zoo and playground.
- Combine a visit to the zoo with time at the Waikiki Aquarium, right down the street, and a dip in the ocean at family-friendly Kaimana Beach.
