The distinctive silhouette of Leahi, or Diamond Head, heralds your arrival in Waikiki. In the winter, this extinct volcano is covered in dense greenery; during summer months it dries to brown. Hiking up Diamond Head is a popular activity best done early in the morning, as there is little to no shade on the trail. The view from the top includes all of Waikiki and more. Entry fee is $5 per car or $1 per person, cash only.
