- Larger than the Titanic.
- Sleeping quarters for sailors
- Executive Officer's quarters
- Plenty of good was prepared right here.
- On this deck, World War II ended.
The last battleship ever made, the Mighty Mo also is the most formidable. Larger than the ill-fated Titanic, her nine 16-inch guns fired 2700-lb. shells 23 miles in 50 seconds. She rendered key service in three wars, and a tour of her decks and interior is truly fascinating.
We include this magnificent battleship as a family attraction because it was on the Missouri’s decks that World War II ended, bringing a lasting peace between America and Japan. Nothing could be more important to families than that, and children can learn much from a proper understanding of the ship’s significance.
We also list Battleship Missouri as an “indoor” experience, because the below-decks tour is absolutely fascinating.
