Massage Monday

Location: Shiatsu & Massage Center

Monday is Massage Day in Waikiki. Why not? Everyone loves a massage, and there’s no better way to pamper yourself. Here are two special spas that we recommend from personal experience:

Shiatsu & Massage Center

This top-ranked spa offers a full range of massage services, silky sheets, all-natural oils and a healing ambience glowing with Himalayan salt lamps. Convenient location, friendly & skillful staff, open till 11 pm.

Spa Pure

Glowing testimonials confirm this spa’s merits. Whether you choose a luxurious granite sauna with an herbal steam dome, a range of traditional massages or the unique ocean massage, you’ll be in heaven when you’re done! Within 10 minutes of most Waikiki hotels, open till 10 pm.

For reservations, call 808.922.0171. Mention Oahu Today for special upgrades and bonuses!

Hula by Torchlight Tue, 6:30 PM

January 17, 2017

Hula by Torchlight

Location: Duke Statue

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, weather permitting, the Kuhio Beach hula mound — right next to the Duke Kahanamoku statue on Kalakaua Ave. — is alive with authentic Hawaiian music and hula at sunset. Members of some of Hawaii’s finest halau (hula studios) are joined by local entertainers for an hour-long salute to the setting sun and aloha spirit. On the beach and free … what could be better?

On Tuesdays, Ainsley Halemanu and Hula Halau Ka Liko O Ka Palai share their aloha, and together you can watch for the green flash. Have fun!
